Recent scientist’s research found that black pepper enhances the treatment of disease, which manifests itself in physical defects skin. According to statistics, the disease affects about 1% of people worldwide.
British scientists from King’s College in London conducted an analysis based on experiments with laboratory mice, dedicated to studying the properties of piperin substances - composition, which gives black pepper sharp flavor and pungent aroma.
Synthetic derivatives of the substance helped stimulate pigmentation of skin of patients suffering from vitiligo - a disease group dishromy skin, which is characterized by the development of depigment white spots that occur because of metabolic diseases.
According to the researchers, piperin has a positive effect in combination with phototherapy.
«We have shown that piperin treatment allows stimulate skin pigmentation», - said Dr. Antony Young, photobiology of King’s College, London.
- «These data suggest our future clinical piperin trials and its derivatives for the treatment of vitiligo».
In the new analysis on the search for a better treatment method of the disease, scientists found that when using a separate piperin allows correct color within six weeks, and in conjunction with phototherapy, even dark skin can be cured during this period, experts contend.
